The hilly and expansive Odenwald is particularly suitable for trips in a classic car, while the blossoming nature and picturesque little towns pass by. The local nature parks, such as the Bergstrasse-Odenwald Geo-Nature Park and the Bavarian Spessart Nature Park, also offer scenically varied and beautiful tours.

Built in 1818 by the father of Queen Victoria of Great Britain with a magnificent view of the towers of the Princely Abbey Church and the forests of the Wolkmannberg Where the horses, carriages and cars of the Princely Family of Leiningen used to be stabled, the enclosed courtyard-like complex of the Princely Stables with its 14 sheds and stables and the former smithy offers space for lovers of classic automobiles and two-wheelers, sports and racing cars – in short: for everything that moves. The princely stables in Amorbach are a popular venue for target and rally drives, rallies, vehicle meetings and classic car excursions. But it is also the ideal location for parts markets, trade fairs and much more.
The Marstall is also a unique location for special exhibitions, presentations of car and motorcycle highlights in small, large and exclusive circles, as well as for club events and company celebrations.
Take your favorite piece on a discovery tour through the heights and valleys of the Odenwald and Spessart and explore breathtakingly beautiful nature on wonderful roads that are often not very busy. Idyllic villages alternate with historic towns and their sights all around. And even if the journey is the destination, there are plenty of nice inns, cozy beer gardens and the well-known “Häckerwirtschaften” that invite you to take a break. The various routes in the Main, Tauber and Churfranken region are also worth discovering.

Automobiles have always been of particular importance to the Princely House of Leiningen. For example, the Bugatti and Mercedes SSK, 7.1 liter compressor of Prince Hermann zu Leiningen, a successful racing driver on Bugatti, Mercedes SSK and Auto Union Type A, were stored in the stables. Events were organized around Old-, Young and Newtimers in Amorbach in the Odenwald organized and hosted. These include vehicle presentations in the Marstall, the Classic Car Festival, the annual Classic Car Meeting on the Schlossplatz, where more than 150 participants exhibit their collector’s items, and many more.
