You might think that there is not much to see in a town with just under 4000 inhabitants. Far from it. Amorbach offers many different ways to spend your free time. In the town itself, you can stroll through cute little alleyways, past half-timbered houses, romantic gardens and, of course, the town’s sights. All just a few steps away from each other on foot. The former Benedictine abbey with the abbey church is probably one of the most famous buildings. But other buildings steeped in history can also be found in many corners of the city, in the truest sense of the word.
A variety of cultural events take place throughout the year, such as the popular abbey concerts and Bavaria’s largest cabaret festival.
